Access: depends on your Odoo plan
Self-hosted Odoo (Community or Enterprise) and Odoo.sh work. Odoo's own hosted service allows the external API only on its Custom plan. On other plans the API is closed, and you would use daily exports through the file route instead. Ziira tells you when Odoo answers that the API is closed.
How access is made
- Create a dedicated user, for example "Ziira (read only)", with the lowest access that can read what you want us to see: invoicing read-only, plus user-level sales, inventory and, if you use them, point of sale and expenses. No administrator rights.
- Create an API key under that user's account security and copy it once.
- In Ziira enter the web address, the database name, the login and the key.
Only read methods are ever sent: Ziira's connection refuses any other method before making a request.
What is read
- Warehouses and POS configurations, partners, products and users.
- POS orders with lines and payments, invoices and bills, credit notes.
- Payments, stock move lines, expenses (if installed) and manual journal entries.
Versions and limits
- Versions 14 to 17 are handled; 18 and later are accepted but flagged as newer than the versions listed. Version 13 and older are not supported.
- Models that are not installed (no POS, no Expenses) are skipped with a note, not an error.
- Read daily; large first reads may take several runs.
