Statutory deductions are data, not code
Payroll taxes, contributions and levies differ by country and change over time. In Ziira each is a rule your business defines: rate, bands, caps, who pays, whether it reduces taxable pay, calculation order, effective date and the account it is owed through. When the law changes you add a new rule; you do not wait for a software release.
A country pack can pre-fill example tables, but they arrive waiting for checking: a second person must check each against the official notice before a payroll run that used it can be approved.
Payroll with control
- Payroll runs go through approval; the person who prepares a run is not the one who approves it where you have set that rule.
- Pay terms and bank-detail changes are controlled actions.
- Weekend days, overtime multiplier and the unpaid-leave divisor are company settings.
- Payslips and statutory returns.
Payroll fraud signals
Intelligence can flag new names, pay changes or bank changes before payroll is approved, overtime trends, sales recorded by staff who were absent that day, and pay terms approved by the person they benefit.
Frequently asked questions
Are the example statutory tables current law?
No. They are examples that must be verified against the official notice. The figures in a country pack are marked as such.
