Books that keep themselves, so nobody enters data twice

Every sale, purchase, payment, expense and stock movement posts to the ledger automatically. The business gets a profit and loss statement, balance sheet and tax figures without anyone re-entering anything, and accountants can still receive an export.

What it does

  • Double-entry general ledger and a chart of accounts you can edit.
  • A posting engine: which account a line uses is a rule held as data, not hidden in code.
  • Statements: trial balance, general ledger, profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and tax summaries.
  • Expenses, supplier payables and customer receivables.
  • Bank reconciliation: ledger lines cleared against the statement.
  • Accounting periods you can close; manual journals need approval; control accounts cannot be posted to by hand.
  • Exports for accountants who prefer their own software.

Entries that cannot be quietly changed

Accounting entries cannot be changed or deleted, not even by Ziira's own software. A correction is a new entry that reverses the old one, and anyone can see it. Checks can compare the books against the records they were made from.

Checks on the books

Intelligence watches for manual journals that are large, round, at odd hours, back-dated, or created and approved by the same person, and for reconciliations that have gone stale. See the guide to a month-end close checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Is VAT supported?

Tax codes with a rate and an optional tax-authority code are data your business holds, and tax summaries are reported. Submission to a tax authority's system is handled by a country add-on where one exists.

Can my accountant log in?

Yes: an Accountant role can view reports and alerts, within the scope you give it.
